Award Categories and Opportunities
TTRA is offering multiple awards that acknowledge excellence across various levels of expertise and industry impact.
Boeing Travel Research Grant (Academic)
A $5,000 grant for junior researchers (faculty within five years of earning their degree) to develop innovative research projects.
J. Desmond Slattery Award (Academic)
A $4,000 award supporting graduate students in completing their thesis or dissertation.
Distinguished Researcher Award (Academic or Practitioner)
Honoring individuals who have significantly advanced travel and tourism research.
Lifetime Achievement Award (Academic or Practitioner)
TTRA’s highest honor, recognizing extraordinary, long-term contributions to the industry.
MMGY Shifflet Award for Research Excellence (Practitioner)
Awarded to practitioners or DMOs for impactful research that led to key industry decisions.
