International Year of Sustainable and Resilient Tourism 2027

UN Tourism has officially invited the Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA), alongside a group of international tourism and research organizations, to participate in the International Year of Sustainable and Resilient Tourism 2027 (IYSRT 2027).
TTRA is pleased to join AIEST, the International Federation for Information Technologies and Travel & Tourism (IFITT), International CHRIE, EATSA, ATHENA, and ATLAS in this international initiative.
For the TTRA community, the International Year represents an important opportunity to contribute research, expertise, and perspectives on some of the most consequential issues facing tourism, including sustainability and resilience, policy, destination development, and the connection between research and practice.
TTRA President Xiang (Robert) Li will represent TTRA as part of this international initiative.
About the Webinar
TTRA members are invited to participate in an upcoming UN Tourism onboarding webinar introducing the IYSRT 2027 framework and opportunities for organizations and their members to engage.
The webinar will explore opportunities related to:
- Knowledge and research
- Capacity building
- Partnerships
- Implementation
- Communications
The International Year provides an opportunity for the global tourism sector and research community to generate knowledge, strengthen collaboration, advance sustainability and resilience objectives, and help inform the future of tourism beyond 2030.
