Opportunity: RFP-26-03-READ SEALED OFFERS FOR A RESEARCH PROJECT TO CONDUCT THE VISITOR SATISFACTION AND ACTIVITY STUDY FOR CALENDAR YEARS 2027 - 2029
The Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism (“DBEDT”) is
issuing this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for a research project to conduct the Visitor
Satisfaction and Activity Study (STUDY) by island and by visitor market, for calendar years
2027, 2028 and 2029.
This is a post-trip STUDY and the primary objectives are to collect, process and report data
on:
- (1) Visitors’ satisfaction with Hawai‘i as a vacation destination,
- (2) Visitors’ likelihood to recommend Hawai‘i to others, and their likelihood to return to the state,
- (3) Visitors’ participation in various activities while in Hawai‘i,
- (4) Island-specific questions regarding visitors’ satisfaction with activities and services offered on the island(s) they visited;
- (5) Visitors’ trip planning information, the source of information used in trip planning,
- (6) Visitor demographic profiles (income, education level, gender and age)
