TTRA 2026 Call For Nominations

The Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA) is at the forefront of advancing the strategic use of research to create innovative travel and tourism solutions that positively impact people, places, and society.

TTRA International values diversity, equity, and inclusion. We believe a strong Board reflects a mix of gender, race, ethnicity, chapter representation, professional backgrounds, and perspectives, including academics, destination practitioners, and industry partners. This diversity strengthens governance, decision-making, and long-term organizational health

  • Three-year term: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2029
  • To support balanced chapter representation, priority consideration will be given to nominations from the Central States (CenStates), NorthEast (NETTRA), and Europe chapters
  • Nominees from academic, practitioner, and vendor backgrounds are encouraged
  • Two-year term: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2028
  • This position will be voted on by the Chapter President Council

Board members are expected to attend three in-person Board meetings annually:

  • The annual strategic planning meeting in October
  • One meeting held in conjunction with the Marketing Outlook Forum (January/February)
  • One meeting held in conjunction with the Annual International Conference (June)

Nominees must be TTRA members in good standing. In alignment with current bylaws, candidates should have a minimum of three years of prior involvement with TTRA, which may include service on a chapter board, a TTRA committee, or a combination of both.

Nominees are asked to submit a brief statement outlining their interest in serving, relevant experience, and the skills they would bring to the Board.

Self-nominations and peer nominations are welcome. Please submit the nominee statement, photo, and confirmation of eligibility by Friday, January 23, 2026.

If you have questions or would like additional information, please do not hesitate to reach out. We look forward to engaging passionate leaders who are eager to help guide TTRA’s future.
