  • Celebrate distinguished careers in tourism research, leadership, and service
  • Recognize sustained contribution to TTRA and the global tourism research community
  • Promote continued engagement with TTRA’s mission, members, and emerging scholars
  • Foster multigenerational exchange, mentorship, collaboration, and community

About the TTRA Fellows Designation

Fellowship is awarded through nomination and Board approval.

The designation recognizes individuals who have demonstrated meaningful involvement with TTRA over time, a distinguished record in travel and tourism research, and a sustained commitment to advancing the association’s mission.

The TTRA Fellows Program complements, but does not replace, other TTRA honors, including the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Looking Ahead

The inaugural class of TTRA Fellows marks the beginning of an important new tradition for the association.

TTRA looks forward to continuing this program in future years as a way to honor excellence, strengthen academic engagement, and recognize those whose work has helped shape the future of travel and tourism research.
