The School of Hotel and Tourism Management at the Business School of The Chinese University of Hong Kong is inviting applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position, at all ranks, in hospitality and tourism.
The appointee will conduct high-quality research resulting in publications in top-tier hospitality and tourism journals. In addition, they are expected to teach basic and advanced-level hospitality and tourism courses at both undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, and to render service to the School of Hotel and Tourism Management.
Applicants should be promising or established scholars with a PhD, by the time of reporting for duty, in hospitality and tourism or a related field.
We welcome applications from scholars specializing in hospitality and tourism management and related fields. For those applying for the Associate Professor or Full Professor rank, preferred candidates will have industry experience, expertise in program development and/or executive education, a proven track record in grants, contracts, or consultancy, along with demonstrated academic leadership.
Appointment at the Assistant Professor rank will normally be made on a contract basis for up to three years initially commencing August 2027, which, subject to demonstration of the requisite level of performance and mutual agreement, may lead to a longer-term appointment or substantiation later. Outstanding candidates with substantial experience for the Associate Professor or Professor rank may be considered for substantive appointment forthwith. The rank and exact start date will be subject to negotiation.
