A new series of tourism-based murder mysteries written by Mark Okrant (past-president of TTRA) has been announced by Plaidswede Publishing. Mark’s new Commissioner Kary Turnell Series uses a 100-plus page format to acquaint or re-familiarize residents and visitors with New Hampshire’s most beautiful, interesting places. The new series builds upon Mark’s full-length Kary Turnell Mysteries. In an innovative approach, there will be a Kary Turnell Mystery Tour whose intention is to provide an exciting new reason for people to visit New Hampshire and experience much of what the state has to offer.

The first two books in the new series were recently released. One Track Mind is set on Mount Washington’s Cog Railway and at two venues in North Conway. Book two is A Thief in the House. It is set in the New Hampshire State House, the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, and on the Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord. Four other titles are expected during 2020.
