The University of Guelph is pleased to announce that the Aboriginal Post-Doctoral Fellowship competition is open! Worth $45,000 per year for up to 2 years and with and additional $5,000 travel fund each year, this Fellowship has been established to encourage recent (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) post-doctoral graduates (within the past three years) to pursue a program of research and scholarship at the University of Guelph in any discipline. One Fellowship will be awarded for commencement by January 2019.

The Director of Market Insights is a management position reporting to the Vice President of Market Insights & CRM. The Director is responsible for overseeing all Market Insights work, functions, and staff, and representing the Vice President as needed. Responsible for monitoring consumer, economic, business, airline, leisure travel, and business meetings trends and advising on their impact on the destination and HVCB and its programs; overseeing marketing effectiveness research and analysis; providing foundational research for HVCB’s annual brand management (marketing) plan; and developing revenue generation research strategies and products for HVCB.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
Trains and supervises Market Insights staff that may include Manager of Market Insights, Market Insights Analyst, and temporary employees or interns assigned to assist on department projects.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
MATHEMATICAL / REASONING ABILITY
General knowledge and understanding of the methods of survey research, consumer panel research, qualitative research techniques, statistical analysis, and secondary and primary data analyses. Ability to read, understand and interpret secondary research materials; to analyze data printouts; and possess a working knowledge of survey research methods.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks and complete work on time and accurately.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint; Adobe Acrobat, Chrome, and Outlook. Working knowledge with an ability to master SPSS-PC, SimpleviewCRM, SurveyGizmo, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign), and other travel industry-specific software such as Diio Mi.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to endure frequent and/or prolonged air and automobile travel; a personal driver’s license is preferred.
