On behalf of our Board of Directors, we would like to welcome you to CenStates TTRA!
Please take a moment to read this PDF for information on the CenStates chapter.
The CenStates TTRA 2018 Annual Conference has an exciting lineup this year, taking us to beautiful downtown Des Moines, Iowa. The Opening Reception at the Meredith Corporation headquarters offers an exclusive opportunity to tour the Meredith Test Kitchen and enjoy the Better Homes & Gardens Test Garden.
The remainder of the conference is jam-packed with trends, case studies, and new strategies. As always, we’ll highlight local developments for the Walk the Talk sessions that include a field trip to actually experience the featured developments in person. With riverfront trails, the newly developed East Village and biking trails around the city, there will be countless opportunities to learn about research, planning, development, and marketing for tourism assets as examples of real-life tactics you can use at home.
You don’t want to miss this! Save the date today and watch for details and registration coming soon.
Oh, smaller towns and cities, how we love you. You offer us an escape from the buzz of traffic, buildings that block out the sunset, and hectic, high-speed attitudes. And don’t even get us started on your killer charm and good looks.
We know you’re out there, and we want to celebrate you. That’s why Expedia polled 1,000 Americans to determine their favorite medium and small towns to visit in the U.S. They reviewed all the nominations and pinpointed the most frequently mentioned cities, towns, and villages to provide you with America’s favorite places to visit.
The new year brings new board members to the CenStates chapter of TTRA. Newly elected board members for the 2018-19 term are:

The CenStates chapter of TTRA is excited to announce that Texas is now part of CenStates! The Texas chapter voted to merge with CenStates and the CenStates chapter voted to add Texas as the fifteenth state in the region. So travel and tourism professionals in Texas may attend the CenStates conference and members will receive other benefits of the CenStates chapter, such as access to original research, tourism “cocktails” and case studies focused on the central states along with benefits of the International organization.
