The Advertising Specialist position reports to the Director of Tourism. Performs tourism advertising invoice processing, budget monitoring, and advertising verification. Assists in the coordination of activities for domestic and international advertising and social media. Researches and responds to advertising questions from advertising agency, tourism staff and various internal and external EDT business partners and stakeholders. Works under general supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Qualifications:
College graduate from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in advertising, marketing, business administration, or a related field plus two (2) years of directly related experience in budget reconciliation and billing invoice processing preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for each other on a year-to-year basis. Valid Texas Driver’s License required with acceptable driving record.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
Registration, Certification or Licensure: Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions: This classification functions in a standard office environment and requires a regular schedule of 8-5, M-F or an alternate schedule to be approved by OOG. Ability to move up to 35 lbs. Ability to drive and travel as needed. Will need to move about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information via phone, computer and in person. VISIT FLORIDA, the official tourism marketing corporation for the State of Florida, is looking for an individual to fill our Performance Research Analyst position. You will serve as the project lead on all research projects related to measuring the effectiveness of VISIT FLORIDA’s marketing efforts, the economic impact of tourism, and the overall health of Florida’s tourism industry. The candidate may be hired at the level of Senior Performance Research Analyst depending on prior experience, ability, and ability to innovate new ways of measuring, sharing, and using performance data.Qualifications:
For this position, we prefer a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field such as economics, mathematics, statistics, finance, a STEM field, or another related field which provides the candidate with training in quantitative and statistical analysis of data. The candidate should have expertise in marketing analytics. The candidate should have a good understanding of survey research methods. Experience with SPSS, R, or statistical analysis using Python is required. Experience with Tableau or Microsoft Power BI is strongly preferred. The candidate must be able to communicate complex information to people with no technical background. Previous experience working on research or analytics in the tourism industry is preferred but not required.
